For the loan termination date for a deed-in-lieu can we use the date it was signed and sent for recording or do we need to report it after we receive recording information back? When does the 15 days start - from recorded date or date recording info is received?
The 15 days for a deed in lieu starts on the date the deed is recorded. You will have to have your attorney obtain the recording info as soon as possible after the deed is recorded so that you meet the 15-day rule.
