The U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is an elite team of more than 6,000 full-time, well-trained, highly qualified public health professionals dedicated to delivering the Nation's public health promotion and disease prevention programs and advancing public health science.  The PHS  will expand the number of mental health providers caring for military personnel affected by deployments, veterans, and  families in need of mental health services and substance use treatment.  To access more information about PHS, go to http://www.usphs.gov/default.aspx
